Modern Warfare 2 Map Pack coming Spring 2010
Modern Warfare 2 is Infinity Ward’s upcoming first person shooter title in the Call of Duty series. A sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the game is a collaboration between Activision and Monster Beverage Company. Now ShackNews is reporting that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2-branded energy drinks have revealed when the downloadable content for the game will be coming.
The folks over at the website seem to conclude that the specially marked ‘Monster Assault Energy’ four pack suggests that the DLC will have a “planned release” sometime in Spring 2010. Whether this will be the first downloadable content pack remains to be seen, as the developer had promised at least two map packs.
Both the map packs are scheduled to hit the Xbox 360 before they do the PS3 and PC. A Monster Energy prize opportunity includes 100 copies of Modern Warfare 2, 10,000 Modern Warfare 2 dashboard themes for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and a free can of the Monster Energy drink.
