BioShock 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2007 first person shooter title from 2K Games, BioShock. Earlier we reported that 2K Games had revealed a global release date for the upcoming title. Now we have word from an e-xpress rep that BioShock 2 will release in India on February 9, 2010 for Games for Windows Live, Xbox 360 and PS3.
The single player “campaign” in the game is set about 10 years after the events in the original, while the multiplayer features a prequel experience in which players take on the role of a plasmid test subject in the underwater city of Rapture. Players will need to use all the tools to survive in the hostile underwater world.
The e-xpress rep also confirmed that BioShock 2 will release on all platforms simultaneously across India on February 9, 2010. And even if there happens to be an unforeseen delay, then the game will be delayed by no more than one week. Prices of the game on any of the platforms are not known.
