Most of the Xbox 360 gamers were disappointed last year when Unreal Tournament 3 was released for the PlayStation 3 as well as the PC. But it seems that their wait is finally over. Epic Games and Midway have sent word that Unreal Tournament 3 for the Xbox 360 will be out in July 2008.
Mark Rein is the VP of Epic Games. He explains, “We are very eager to be shipping Unreal Tournament 3 for Xbox 360. This is a great title and, with two-player split screen support and some very cool new content, Xbox 360 players should be thrilled with this fantastic version of the game.”
Mona Hamilton, VP, Marketing, Midway Home Entertainment commented, “Unreal Tournament 3 for the Xbox 360 will deliver fans the award-winning gameplay of UT3, complete with exhilarating exclusive content that will make it a must-have title for the Xbox 360.”
It was worth waiting for the Unreal Tournament 3, as the Xbox 360 version of the shooter will have quite a few new features such as split screen as well as five exclusive maps and two all-new characters. The previously released downloadable content will also be included. But that’s not all; it will have an exclusive video preview of Gears of War 2.
The video preview of Gears of War 2 in the Unreal Tournament 3 for the Xbox 360 will feature never-before-seen footage of the game’s multiplayer modes featuring new maps, new modes, new weapons and new gameplay elements. What’s more, the Gears of War 2 video will be narrated by producer Rod Fergusson and Cliffy B.
Unreal Tournament 3 for Xbox 360 is expected to be out on July 7, 2008. So will you pick up the first person shooter?
