GameGuru Celebrates Halo, Presents Microsoft with Halo 3 Cake

Halo 3 Cake

Halo 3, is a game that is eagerly awaited by each and every Xbox 360 gamer, whether he/she is a fan of the series or not. However, the launch of the game is a few days away. But we had a chance to get a hands-on sneak peek of Halo 3, Surprised? Don’t worry, we didn’t get it from eBay, we went right to the source!

On Monday, September 17, 2007, Microsoft held a gala event at the Taj Land’s End in the western suburbs of Mumbai. Yeah, the same place where they officially announced Xbox Live. The party was attended by many journalists as well as Halo evangelists and all of us got to play Halo 3. But if you expect a review of Halo 3, then I am sorry to disappoint you as one of the requirements to get into the hall was to sign a NDA (non-disclosure agreement).

Halo 3 Cake

Anyway, we will post a feature next week on it. However, we used the event to present a cake to Microsoft to show our appreciation for the Halo series. From the time we made a Gears of War cake, we were looking out for an opportunity to make a cake for the Halo 3. So we thought what other opportunity we would get than at the Halo 3 Sneak Peek for the game journalists and gamers in India. So we went to the same baker who made the Gears of Cake. She readily took up the challenge and as you can see from the picture, the cake looked and tasted wonderful.

Here is a video of the Halo 3 cake. Seen in the video are Mohit Anand and his team, who sure were happy to get the cake. Check it out:

Everyone at the event enjoyed the cake and if you are wondering what flavor it was, well, we ordered Dutch Truffle. Next in the line, we are planning to get a Metal Gear Solid cake, but the question that haunts us is – will Sony launch the MGS 4 in India in the same way Microsoft does? Even if they don’t, we promise we will get a MGS cake!
