Karous heading to the Wii?

According to video game blog Kotaku, the Dreamcast shooter Karous could find its way to the Nintendo Wii. The game has released for the Dreamcast in March 2007 and has received mixed reviews from the gamers and the critics.

Karous on Wii

Karous is basically a scrolling shooter game told from the viewpoint of a half-angel, half-human girl who goes by the same name. The game has been made by Japanese arcade videogame developer Milestone Inc who specialize in developing shoot ’em up games for the Sega Dreamcast. Karous was only released in Japan. There is still no official confirmation that Karous will release for Nintendo’s next-gen console.

Even if it is released for the Wii, there is a very small possibility that the game will ever hit the American and the European shores. However, let’s hope it does make it to North America, Europe and the rest of Asia soon. It remains to be seen whether the game will be multiplayer or not as the original game on the Sega Dreamcast was just one-player.
