Mortal Kombat X receives new Jason Voorhees character today

Those who own Mortal Kombat X will soon be able to play as Friday the 13th character Jason Voorhees, even as the downloadable fighter will be released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will be made available for free to all those who have purchased the Kombat Pack or Jason Voorhees Bundle Pack. Others however will need to wait until April 12 in order to buy the DLC character. To get a glimpse of what’s in store, have a look at the trailer we’ve posted in the space down below.

Mortal Kombat X

This new Mortal Kombat X playable fighter comes in three different variants, namely Slasher, Relentless and Unstoppable. Each of these versions carries the same basic move sets, including a temporary buff. Those who get the character through the Jason Voorhees Bundle Pack will also be awarded three new skins for current characters in the game. These include Kraken Reptile, Pharaoh Ermac and Vampiress Mileena. These are part of a special Horror Pack that will also be made available on May 12 at 4 USD (approx. Rs 250). The individual Jason Voorhees DLC will be sold from the said date onwards at 8 USD (approx. Rs 500).

Mortal Kombat X was released in April this year by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Developed by NetherRealm Studios, it is the tenth main installment to the classic series, and features single-player as well as multiplayer gameplay. Available for the PS4, Xbox One, PC as well as Android and iOS, it is slated to be released for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 later this year. This port is currently being developed by High Voltage Software.

Mortal Kombat X has received positive reviews for its stellar offerings, and can be purchased in India as well.
