SoulCalibur: Lost Swords to be discontinued from PS3

Soulcalibur: Lost Swords, the free-to-play fighting game which was launched last year for the PS3 via PSN will be shut down later this year. It has been a very short life span for the game, considering that it’s such a high-profile affair.

Bandai Namco’s Soulcalibur: Lost Swords has had more than 2 million downloads till date, but will be shutting down on November 30. Sale of all consumable items within this free-to-play title will come to a close on September 30, while all in-game item sales will be discontinued from October 30 onwards, before the fighter becomes completely defunct on November 30 at 3am EDT.

The video in the space down below has developers revealing this news to fans, but they have made sure to disclose that something big is coming to the series soon. However, no reason for its closure has been mentioned yet.

Soulcalibur: Lost Swords

Soulcalibur: Lost Swords happens to be a single-player game which is quite unlike other titles from the famous series. This game of course, grabs the same weapon-based combat system that its predecessors are known for, while it offers microtransactions for gaining slight advantages in gameplay.

Since its arrival this Soulcalibur game was being issued updates that granted it a number of different events, items and characters. Its Quest mode has players moving around the world to participate in battles that enable them to gain raw materials that can be used to crafting betters weapons.

Like we said, Soulclibur: Lost Swords will be meeting its doom on November 30. Those who have downloaded in on their PS3 systems can head into it now in order to extract some final hours of fighting gameplay from it.
