After having been released in Japan exclusively for the Xbox 360 in June last year, Phantom Breaker will be making its way into North America through publisher 7sixty. Said to be a cult fighting game, this offering has been developed by 5pb and apparently features numerous special moves, high-impact combos and a simple yet difficult to master counter system.
This game will be delivered throughout North America in restricted numbers, making it a limited edition title. It will comprise a mini strategy guide that offers tips for each fighter. Moreover, it also features concept artwork by renowned Japanese manga artist Hiro Suzuhira. Amongst the other items that will be included in the pack is a desk calendar featuring characters from the game and two double-sided posters.
“We’re extremely excited about bringing Phantom Breaker to North America. 5pb has done a superb job creating an action-packed fighter that’s great for casual players with its pick-up-and-play controls – I managed to pull off a 12-hit overdrive combo on my first go – but has plenty of hidden depths and tactics for experienced brawlers, so I’ll probably get owned online,” shared, Leslie House, VP of publishing, 7sixty.
The narrative of this title revolves around a mysterious fighting tournament in Japan, which is run by a character named Shadow. A series of powerful enemies are needed to be defeated by gamers in order for them to gain the opportunity to get any wish granted.
Phantom Breaker can now be pre-ordered through Amazon at a price of 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,110). The retail website’s listing suggests its release date to be February 28, 2012.
