THQ Unveils WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 Universe Mode

This October, the WWE SmackDown vs. Raw series will punch in another powerful experience for gamers around the world. As reported earlier, the cover art of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 will feature eight World Wrestling Entertainment Superstars. THQ has now announced that this installment in the franchise is set to introduce a new game mode dubbed WWE Universe.

The new mode in the title is said to enclose existing and new features including Career Mode, Exhibition Mode, My WWE and Title Matches. Expanding the horizon of the series with this mode, the title keeps a check on gamers’ playing habits while crafting a customized in-game world for them. To further personalize this environment, they can easily access the WWE Universe Menu from the title’s Main Menu. Besides, players will have the power of turn the mode on or off at any given point with the help of the Right Stick.

Extending a genuine feel to the game, WWE Universe is expected to recreate an authentic WWE calendar for pitting gamers against each other. The title will spontaneously react to in-game action, decisions and outcomes, infusing zing into players’ future challenges with allies, enemies and other contenders. Players will have the opportunity to indulge in custom matches while trying to mount the championship ladder. In addition, gamers can change brands, championships, adversaries and tag teams for every Superstar and Diva from the WWE league.

In addition, cinematic cut scenes have been incorporated in the game to boost the action with unpredictable twists and turns. Featuring over 100 new cut scenes, players can view these shots through the WWE Universe as they advance further in the title. Gamers can experience revenge assaults, get abandoned by a tag team partner and face severe post-match beatdowns.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 will land onto the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP and Nintendo Wii this October 26, 2010.
