Featuring horror survival gameplay, you explore the depths of a massive factory with nothing more than a hand lamp in search of the Machine. There’s no combat involved and all you’ll have to do is solve simple puzzles throughout the immersive storyline. Along the way, you will encounter creatures known as Manpigs and the only way to get passed them alive is to move around in complete darkness. Do note, the gameplay is very disturbing and the audio is sure to give you goose bumps.
6. Rust:
If you love the concept of Minecraft, but don’t quite like the block graphics, then Rust is probably the next best thing. Created by indie developer Facepunch that’s also the brains behind Garry’s Mod, this title delivers a blend of various releases such as DayZ, Minecraft and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. The main objective here is survival and to do so, you’ll have to do whatever it takes. Food can be gathered through animals, while shelter can be created with wood. There are many items you can craft here and you’ll not only have to protect yourself from other players, but zombies as well, that roam the place at night.
7. Dota 2:
DOTA started off as a map for Blizzard’s Warcraft 3 and it has now been made into a standalone release featuring enhanced graphics and various new features. The core gameplay has been left untouched where two teams of players comprising of 5 each, battle it out to destroy the enemy’s base, while protecting their own. Fights take place on lanes which connect both sides. You’ll have a wide catalog of heroes to choose from and as they level up, you’ll be able to access new abilities. You can also improve your character’s skills by equipping items. The game ends once the ancient tower of either side is destroyed.
