10 Best GTA San Andreas Mods

We’re about to take a look at the best GTA San Andreas mods available from the community. Mods are what make games last longer, especially those which are single player only. They can also augment the overall experience by adding new content like objects and campaigns, as well as enhance what’s already there such as the graphics and overall gameplay. The add-ons we’re listing out today will make SA even more fun and will also give you new stuff to do while you wait for the PC version of GTA V to go official.

1. Multi Theft Auto:

The GTA SA campaign has surely taken a lot of your time to complete and we’re sure you’ve spent even more time causing havoc and doing all sorts of crazy stuff in-game. Well, at some point you’re bound to get bored. For that, the community has created a multiplayer mod where you can play against others around the world. This release offers multiple modes such as racing, stealth and more. The developer is also offering a map creator where you can modify in-game objects to your liking and also create custom modes. There are many servers for you to join or you can host your own as well.

2. SA-MP:

Like MTA, SA-MP is an online multiplayer mod which allows players to host and join servers. Here, you’ll set foot in the massive world of GTA SA which can be roamed freely. This project is basically a continuation of the Vice City multiplayer add-on. Setting up this release is pretty simple and you’ll have a plethora of servers available to play in, offering unique gameplay experiences with heavily modded content.

3. Big Foot hunt:

One of the biggest GTA SA myths is that many players have reportedly spotted Big Foot at rare occasions or something that highly resembles the creature. Many speculated it to be an Easter egg, but Rockstar has denied the existence of the Sasquatch in the game. While players are still on a lookout for Big Foot in the original game, modders have gone and created a separate campaign where you can actually find the monster and bring it down to its knees.

Just a head’s up – The creature can be found at Shady creek and once the weather goes foggy, consider your target nearby. The mission is pretty small, but it will at least quench your thirst of locating Big Foot.

4. Left 4 Theft:

Left 4 Theft

If a game can be modded to extreme levels, then you can expect to find a zombie add-on. Left 4 Theft combines the large world of San Andreas with zombies of Left 4 Dead. This overhaul brings in hours of gameplay where you’ll find yourself engrossed in different modes. Survival puts you in a fight to the finish where you’ll be dropped off at a random location and will have to face waves of zombies. In free mode, you can explore the vast environment and do as you please with the undead on your tail, while fortress mode will have you defending a leader from the enemy. Last on the list is exploration where you’ll be on your own and have to find food as well as build shelter to stay protected from the undead.

5. ENBSeries:

ENBSeries

So GTA SA is pretty old and the graphics are quite outdated for today’s standards. With ENBSeries, you can give the game a complete visual makeover. Everything from textures to shadows to lighting has been enhanced in this package, converting the dull environment into a stunning world that you really need to experience if you love the game.

This mod is said to be completely compatible with SA-MP for online multiplayer. Check out the video above to know exactly what you’ll be treated to.

6. Advanced Speedometer:

Advanced Speedometer

Ever wondered how fast you’re going in SA? Well, cars and other vehicles don’t have speedometers and that’s what this mod wants to correct. The add-on provides a neat set of dials which not only show how fast you’re going, but also other information related to the vehicle being operated, such as damage levels and various indicators for fire, gears and more. These dials can be conveniently edited as well.

7. Gravity Gun:

Gravity Gun

At number 7, we’ve got a neat little toy for you guys to play with (and we know you’ll be at it for hours). Gravity Gun is exactly what you’d expect judging from its name – A weapon capable of altering gravity. The fun part of this little tool is that you can pickup cars and move them around as well as blast them away. The same can also be done with pedestrians.

8. Pimp My Car:

Pimp My Car

Pimp My Car is a must-have GTA SA mod which allows you to customize your ride from anywhere and at anytime. And here, you’ll be able to trick out your ride with equipment that’s not available at the local body shop. The add-on delivers neon lights, performance tuning, HyperSpeedNOS, missiles and police lights amongst others. To top things off, you’ll also be able to save up to 10 cars.

9. Magic Mop:

Magic Mop

There are numerous ways to get around in GTA SA, but Magic Mop takes things to an all-new crazy level. With this add-on, you’ll be able to fly across town and other locations of SA on a mop, just like a witch on a broomstick. And for some reason, the developer felt the need to add missiles to the contraption, but we’re not the ones to complain.

10. AC-130H Spectre:

AC-130H Spectre

The AC-130H Spectre is one deadly gunship and guess what? It can be found in GTA SA through this add-on. The creator has designed this aircraft with different weapons like machine guns, missiles and bombs, the last option being made possible through an additional script. We’re guessing, flying this plane is going to be more enjoyable than taking the huge AT-400 to the air.
