Gears of War 2 Rumor Update

This is news for all those naysayers who refused to believe last week’s news. The next issue of Gamepro magazine has an exclusive peak into one of the Xbox 360’s most anticipated games. Gears of War 2 does exist and the internet is a place where facts are placed. So guys here’s the scanned image courtesy totally360.com. This game is not even worth officially announcing cause certain things in life are just inevitable, and this is just one of them.

Gears of War 2

With no intention of flaming fanboy wars but from what I’ve heard Killzone 2 is actually going to have a hard time competing with this little exclusive from the stables of Epic. There can be no shadow of doubt that Killzone 2 is technically superior to most games that are due by the end of this year. But it does not play any differently than your average first person shooter probably like your latest iteration of Turok.

The game does have its fair share of thunderous moments, but after those moments have passed the vacuum that it leaves might disappoint a whole number of people, which is probably why people are actually going to prefer Gears of War 2 over this. Unless Guerilla Games offers their users what UT III gives PS3 owners a system based on unlimited levels replayability via mods and a consistent and competent online mode, which I believe will be present in SOCOM than Killzone 2.

Guerilla Games are working their asses off to create a game that raises the bar of immersion to a level previously unheard of. But it faces stiff competition within the platform itself. Resistance 2 looks and feels miles and notches ahead of its predecessor and this is coming in from the guys who excel at creating terrific levels in Ratchet and Clank.

So get your hopes high up for both Gears of War 2 and Resistance: Fall of Man 2 and try and lower your expectations for Killzone 2 and you might just end up liking it.
