Blur gets integrated Twitter Functionality

Blur is noted to be the upcoming arcade type racing game published by Activision. Back in September 2009 we reported that the title which was expected to launch in November last year was pushed for a 2010 release. The company reveals that Blur now features an integrated Twitter functionality with developers Bizarre Creations unique social network interface.

Blur Twitter Functionality

The latest inclusion into the racing title allows gamers to compose a desired text message directly from within Blur itself. They will have loads of options open to them with the new integrated Twitter functionally. Players can Tweet about just how many fans they’ve gathered and cars unlocked as well as their race victories and leaderboard ranks. They can also send via Twitter challenges to all their friends and do much more with the plethora of options. The Twitter functionality lets gamers tweet just about anything in the game in order to keep their friends updated and in the loop of all their achievements.

Blur is set to offer players a powered-up racing experience complete with up to 20 cars trading paint. The game also features real-world track locations filled with alternate routes, dangerous curves and jumps. They can traverse along these courses sitting in the driver’s seat of more than 50 licensed cars and even gain the upper edge with intense Power-ups which include boosting their speed and blasting other cars. The game also allows up to 20 players to compete online simultaneously as well as offer a progressive ranking system which endows onto players objective based race events and 4-player split-screen gameplay.

Blur is scheduled to hit the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this spring while players will be able to Tweet from the Blur Multiplayer Beta which is expected to unveil next month.
