Need for Speed World Boasts of One Million Registered Users
While zooming past opponents at swift speeds, gamers can soon bring Dolby Axon voice chat into play in the Need for Speed World circuit. Black Box has revealed that the racing tracks of NFS World now sports one million registered users. The developer has also divulged that the title will be presented with new features and game-expanding content.

Basking in the glory of this feat, the company has announced that players can access Need for Speed World free-of-cost starting today. This will enable them to purchase SpeedBoost items for mapping their career graphs to higher levels with power-ups, double XP periods and rental cars. With this, the MMORG extends an enhanced socially-connected Need for Speed experience to all players in this illicit street race.
“Need for Speed fans have played a critical role in making Need for Speed World a success. Fan feedback has helped shape every aspect of the experience – whether it’s the creation of a new feature or improving polish and progression. We’re excited to open the gates so that every Need for Speed World player now has free access to all current and future content including new modes, cars, features and more,” elucidated John Doyle, Senior Producer, Need for Speed World.
This chapter in the racing game series is the first MMORG, allowing drivers to compete against friends, foes and unknown fans of the title in the online mode. Gamers can participate in intense battles and police pursuits while immersing in the adrenaline pumping race.
The all-new content including more cars, deep performance customization, a new world region and a co-op pursuit mode for Need for Speed World has been scheduled to infuse greater levels of challenges and features this fall.
