Tales from the Borderlands: Episode 2 gets a release date

Telltale Games has announced a release date for Tales from the Borderlands: Episode 2 which will move forward the tailored story in this unique spin-off. This chapter will be released on March 17, and since it’s a Tuesday, it can be assumed that the date stands true for Steam, Xbox Live and North American PSN. We’re guessing that it will be launched on European PSN the day after, on March 18, as is mostly the case. This second episode is named Atlas Mugged, and its makers have also released a trailer to give us a glimpse of what’s in store for us next week.

Tales from the Borderlands

Unlike the other games from the much popular Borderlands series, this one happens to be an adventure offering which features point-and-click gameplay and a very small amount of action elements. Created by Telltale Games in partnership with Gearbox Software and 2K Games, it’s built on the same model that we’ve seen in hit titles like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. It’s hence that they feature episodic content in which player choices and actions have significant effects on later story elements.

Episode 1 of Tales from the Borderlands was released back in November last year, and it’s only now that its sequel is out. At the moment, five chapters are planned for Season 1, and we won’t be surprised if a Season 2 is in store for next year. Currently, Telltale is also in the middle of releasing episodes for its much appreciated Game of Thrones spin-off.
