GTA V’s Rockstar Editor to hit PS4 and Xbox One next month

Rockstar Editor, the PC-only feature of GTA V which lets you create beautiful videos from your gameplay, is all set to be doled out for the PS4 and the Xbox One now. The makers of the game have announced that it will be made available for the two consoles this September through a title update.

It has also been revealed that the new release will bring with it number of fresh features that aren’t part of the PC version of GTA V. These include a library of ambient audio and sound effects, integration with Snapmatic, new fonts, an enlarged and detailed minimap for Director Mode and the ability to copy and paste marker properties.

All the new features will also be rolled out for the PC version of GTA V of course. Rockstar Editor aims at letting you capture gameplay footage that has just happened or is about to happen. It even enables you to stitch various clips together like a normal video editor.

One of its main attributes is that it allows you to change the camera mode on any captured clip, to gain a different angle of it. Furthermore, you can enhance your footage with filters and more as well. As for sound, Rockstar Editor lets you utilize tracks from the GTA V soundtrack in your clips.

But the main attraction is definitely its Director Mode which keeps the game’s entire sandbox world at your disposal, so that you can play around in it as you wish. You can hence make your own little film by using any character or animal from the game, and placing them at any location.

Like we said, the new and updated Rockstar Editor will be reaching the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of GTA V in September.
