Rockstar has announced that GTA V will finally be blessed with its update 1.05 early next week, allowing it to sort out a number of issues regarding player progress loss. Moreover, later in the same week, the promised yet delayed GTA$ Stimulus Package will also be released. This gift comes as an apology of sorts for all the losses gamers had to incur due to the problems faced by GTA Online following its launch on October 1.
Through an update on its official blog, Rockstar has revealed that the 1.05 should be out sometime next week, but it has stopped short of declaring an exact release date. When it was made available at the start of October, Grand Theft Auto Online saw a number of grave issues coming at it. Players reported difficulties in connecting to its servers as well as to the Rockstar Social Club. Following the release of a patch, things got way more out of hand, even as gamers started losing their in-game progress completely.
A second update brought things under control, and with it, the developers announced that a GTA$ Stimulus Package will be doled out to gamers as compensation for all the issues. This bundle will includes $500,000 worth of in-game cash, and will arrive in the form of two chunks, first among which is scheduled to be launched next week, as said above.
