Devil’s Third coming to Digital Devices and PC

Valhalla Game Studios announced yesterday that its third-person shooter named Devil’s Third is also being considered to be brought on digital devices. It is still to be confirmed which platforms will be included under this purview. Initially, the game was scheduled to arrive only for home consoles, but now it will also be launched for PC.

In a letter posted on the developer’s official site, the CEO of Valhalla Game Studios has mentioned that it plans to bring the game’s universe to a ‘wide range of digital devices.’ Another important piece of information has also come to the fore through this letter. All rights related to this project, including those of its development and distribution, have been reassigned to the developer by THQ.

“To all our fans and members of the industry, we greatly appreciate your support. Valhalla Game Studios would like to announce that after negotiations with THQ Inc. and with their generous cooperation, both parties have reached an agreement whereupon all rights related to the Devil’s Third project, including development and distribution rights, have been transferred in full from THQ to Valhalla Game Studios,” CEO of Valhalla Game Studios, Satoshi Kanematsu, wrote in the letter.

Kanematsu has revealed that the game’s universe is being considered to be associated with other forms of media as well. These include manga, novels, animation and film. Tomonobu Itagaki, the legendary lead designer of the game is known for creating the Dead or Alive franchise and also for reviving the Ninja Gaiden series in 2004.

Despite all these announcements, Devil’s Third still remains without a release date.
