Gears of War 3 Season Pass to Offer 33 Percent Discount on DLCs

Microsoft and Epic Games announced yesterday on the latter’s website that they will be releasing a season pass which would entitle buyers to avail 30 percent discounts on four DLCs that would roll out over the course of next year for Gears of War 3. This pass would be launched through Xbox Live on the same date as the game and will be priced at 2400 Microsoft Points.

Gamers who buy this season pass would also be entitled to an exclusive Liquid Metal Weapon Set. Furthermore, it was revealed that the first batch of DLC is scheduled to be unleashed this November. Touted to add ‘hours’ of campaign and multiplayer play time to the game, these updates are hailed by developers to be ‘must-haves’ for Gears fans.

The anticipation surrounding Gears of War 3 seems to be on an all time high right now. Only a few days back it was announced that the game would be able to render itself in 3D on compatible TV screens. Developers are claiming the pre-orders of this title to have hit the 1.3 million mark already. A multiplayer beta was also used by them to unveil the online aspects of this Xbox 360 exclusive.

This title is slated to release on September 20, 2011 and is currently available for pre-order. It is priced at 59.99 USD (approx Rs. 2,762). A Limited Edition bundle which encompasses various bonus rewards retails for 79.99 USD (approx Rs. 3,683).

The season pass which would offer discounts on four DLCs of Gears of War 3 will launch through Xbox Live on September 20. It will be priced at 2400 Microsoft Points.
