Animal kingdom to come alive with EA’s Wildlife: Forest Survival next year

Even though the mainstream gaming genre is brimming with titles that depict highly exaggerated natural and human tendencies, developers do not seem to be drifting too far away from the realism that is needed in a game to make it believable and immersive in all aspects. Considering a similar generalization with an attempt to bring wild fauna from the forest to life, it has been reported that EA is developing Wildlife: Forest Survival which is an innovative IP for PSN and XBLA.

Wildlife: Forest Survival

Gamers can choose from four animals and tune into each one’s characteristics to pounce on their prey and flee from various ominous predators while advancing through a perfidious forest. Allowing up to 12 players to battle in a one-on-one match, the multiplayer will test the mettle of gamers who will poise between protecting themselves from mightier animals and trailing their prey.

“Wildlife: Forest Survival gives players the unique perspective of seeing the world through the eyes of an animal in the wild,” commented Jon Dean, Executive Producer at EA Salt Lake Studio. “Experiencing the rush of pitting animals against each other, learning about the laws of nature, and feeling the thrill of the hunt, chase and kill is sure to make for a game that showcases survival of the fittest at its best.”

With each one of the four animals armed with their own abilities and shortcomings such as the fox relying on its cunningness to trigger its Sneak Pounce ability and daze its gullible prey, there seems to be plenty of room for entertainment in Wildlife: Forest Survival. A gator that rules its aquatic habitat by sifting quickly around the water with its jaws can also be played with, but gamers will experience a setback when it falls short of adequate pace while on land.

Just as the hawk glides over the forest and sharply analyzes its target for the ideal timing to perform its Dive Bomb Strike, the rabbit depends on its swiftness and Sense Danger ability to engage in an escapade from its predators. These animals can be employed in fierce physical takedowns and unnerving escapes across eight distinct environments
