Much has been said about the Kane & Lynch game and the reception that it got by the gamers and the critics. But one thing that got everyone excited was the talks about the movie based on Kane & Lynch. Initially, there were reports that Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton could star and later, the Die Hard star was also negotiating for the role, apparently.
Last week, we had a chance to meet Ian Livingstone from Eidos, who had come down to India for an awards ceremony. Livingstone met the gaming press in India and GameGuru.in asked him about the Kane & Lynch movie. He said, “Yes, hopefully there will be a Kane & Lynch movie. They haven’t started production yet, but it’s getting close.”
As for the cast, Ian Livingstone explained, “Bruce Willis, yes. We understand Bruce Willis would be playing… yes. I can’t really talk too much about it. (laughs). Yeah we’re very excited I general that Hollywood sees the value in the characters that we created, you know.”
But besides this movie, Livingstone also mentioned the possibility of a Mini Ninjas TV Series. He said, “We’re talking also to another company about animation of Mini Ninjas, which is perhaps a television series. All these negotiations are constant.”
