Steambot Chronicles Battle Tournament Coming This Summer: Atlus

Atlus USA has announced that the company has acquired the publishing rights for Steambot Chronicles Battle Tournament for the PSP in North America. The game, called Steambot Chronicles Vehicle Battle Tournament in Japan, is filled with action involving mech customization and fast-paced combat.

Steambot Chronicles

In the game, a young Trotmobile driver comes to Orion City with the aspiration of winning the Orion City Trotmobile gladiator tournament. Players get help from a sprightly mechanic named Venus and must take on a line of jobs to earn money and become famous as a Trotmobile driver and operator. Players will have to step up and defend the city against bandits who damage its economy.

The game allows players to control the adventures they have. Players can take up missions such as mining, cross town delivery and defeating bandits and can use the fame and money points they have earned, to take part in arena battles and upgrade the Trotmobile. Players can upgrade heads, arms, bodies, legs of the Trotmobile and give it color and an emblem. Using the PSP’s ad hoc mode, up to four players can battle others in the battle royal style or play two-a-side tag team matches. Even if only one player has the UMD, four players can still play with the game sharing option.

Steambot Chronicles Battle Tournament is expected to be released this summer with no exact date or price being confirmed.
