Gaming news website Eurogamer.net is reporting that a spokesperson for Gamecock told them that the delay will mean that the North American launch will take place around the same time the European launch takes place. Velvet Assassin has been inspired by Violette Szabo, the real life World War II secret agent/saboteur.

Velvet Assassin will now release in early 2009. It was supposed to release in October 2008. The delay will mean one more thing, the development team will get more time to work on the World War II stealth action game. Velvet Assassin has been developed by Replay Studios and will be launched for the Xbox 360 and the PC platforms.
