Earlier this week, Blizzard unveiled the third action role-playing game in the Diablo series. Many were wondering if Blizzard could get a Diablo game on the consoles. Well, it seems that could happen! Rob Pardo from Blizzard has indicated that a console version of Diablo is theatrically possible.
Rob Pardo is the VP of Game Design at Blizzard. He told video games news website Eurogamer.net, “I think it is theoretically possible. It would have some control changes that I think you’d have to make… But it’s probably, of our major franchises, the one that’s most console friendly, for sure.”
Rob Pardo has previously worked on World of Warcraft and was the lead designer. He also spoke about the challenges that they would encounter if they make a console version of Diablo. He feels that they would have to lose the target selection functionality as gamers would be able to do target direction but it will not be specific targeting.
