Scarface: The World Is Yours Shifts Over Two Million Copies

Sierra Entertainment has announced that their video game based on the 1983 classic film from Universal Pictures, Scarface: The World Is Yours has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide at retail stores. The game was first released in October 2006.

It’s a testimony to the fantastic word of mouth the game has received among players, and reinforces that the Scarface film and character have truly become ingrained in popular culture.”

Scarface: The World Is Yours is the eighth game to sell more than a million units and the third title to sell more than 2 million units for Radical Entertainment, one of Sierra Entertainment’s four internal studios. The game has a plot, which asks “What if Tony Montana survived the mansion shootout?” Sierra Entertainment is also coming out with a Wii version of Scarface: The World Is Yours, which is scheduled to release in the summer of 2007.
