Prince of Persia Movie Script Details Emerge
Some time ago, movie website Latino Review had released details about the forthcoming Gears of War film. This time around they have the script review of the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time movie.
The protagonist of the movie is Dastan, the youngest son of King Sharaman. The film begins with the siege of the holy city of Alamut. Dastan’s uncle and his brothers along with him raid the city and that’s where he gets the dagger. Here, the female protagonist, Tamina also makes an appearance, where she is captured by the troops.
However, Dastan only sees her when they return back to his kingdom and he falls for her. However, things go awry as his father, the King, dies by the robe that Dastan had gifted. His archrival, Garsiv, captain of the guards, accuses him of murdering his father. He is now on the run with Tamina, who co-incidentally is the owner of the Dagger. It is on this journey that he learns about the power and the sands of time.
The Prince of Persia movie will be directed by ace director Michael Bay and will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, who has earlier worked with Bay on hit blockbusters like Bad Boys, Pearl Harbour, The Rock and Armageddon.

As you may or may not know that fans and all people around the world HATE or are afraid of change. Which is why videogame movies (EXCEPT Tomb Raider) haven’t been doing so well. People don’t pay to see an action/adventure/romance. People pay to see just one at a time especially ACTION. Yes even though the prince does find love onces or twice in the game it’s not mentined that much because he’s mostly worried about his own well being and maybe even his fathers but that’s about it. We all understand that every director has his own ideas for a movie BUT EVERYONE is use to a warrior that keeps fighting without regret for what he’s doing. When I look at Jake Gyllenhaal I can’t see that. The same goes for the woman you have cast as Kilena,(my spelling sucks),although she is still very beautiful. K (for short) is suposed to be beautiful and EXOTIC such as Hally Berry. Now I know Disney is to family friendly to go above PG13 but that is ok for THIS movie because it’s still close to the games rating. But again if you make the second and third games into movies and expect people to see it you’ll probably have to DROP DISNEY, the DIRECTOR, the ENTIRE CAST, STORIE WRITTERS, and give the PEOPLE what they REALLY want. Some of you may think that I’m just a loud mouth that Knows absolutally nothing at all But in all of the 14 years of movies that I’ve watched since I was born I like to think that Change Sucks SO LEAVE THE PRINCE THE WAY WE LIKE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with Anonymous’s Post, most viewers arent open to change. As a result when a GAME’s plot is changed when the movie is made it VERY RARELY goes over very well to the public and ALMOST never makes it to be a block buster hit.
Really the only people who like video game movies are the people who have never played or herd of the game or don’t know the actual story line at all.
Im a big fan of the PoP games and i have completed them all so many times ive lost count so i know the story line really well, but the only thing i dont get is why change the story line? do they (directors, screen writers etc…) know that lot of fans of the game might be upset or pissed off? i dont know why they didn’t just stick to the original story, the story line i know and many other fans know.

Well I’m sure glad they are making a movie about The Sands of Time while not actually including The Sands of Time themselves. I hate when movies change such awesome stories and end up with crap that anyone who has actually played the game hates. None the less, I will keep an eye on this and hopefully it turns out well.

But only one thing that I dissapointed. That things is tamina. She is beautiful but isn’t sexy or exotic. Maybe kiera knightley or kareena kapoor is better. Hehehee
